How to find The Fig Tree
The Fig Tree is in the picturesque hamlet of Baudin Beach, Kangaroo Island. Formerly known as American Beach, it was renamed in April 2002 to honour the French explorer, Nicholas Baudin, who was the first to circumnavigate Kangaroo Island.
If arriving by ferry, Baudin Beach is approximately 5 minutes west of Penneshaw on the main Kingscote Highway, if arriving by air, approximately 30 minutes east of the Airport.
Baudin Beach is very well signposted with the turn into Bessell Street marked by large Highway Signage. The Fig Tree is in Leander Avenue, the second street on the right. |
